In our continuing efforts to encourage a progressive safety program, we announce a unique policy benefiting everyone. It is a hardhat exemption program. If you are one of those hard-headed individuals that wants to let your hair blow in the breeze, who feel a hardhat shortens his/her neck, and that in general it is just a pain in the you know what, this program is for you. Every employee is required to wear a hardhat on the job.
But, if you earn a certificate of exemption, you will be excused from this requirement.

Congratulations to RSC Equipment Rental for being voted “Best Equipment Rental Company in Nashville”. The results were final after a week long poll on SwapaTool.com’s new blog and were tabulated using public votes by viewers of SwapaTool.com and SwapaTool.com Blog.  RSC won 37% of the vote followed by Nashville High Lift at 25%.  Neff Rental, Equipment Depot, and Equiplinq each took 12% of the vote in the poll.

IS BIGGER BUSINESS ALWAYS BETTER BUSINESS?

What is your experience? Take suppliers for example; if it is your responsibility to purchase materials, tools, or equipment for your shop or jobsite, who do you call? Do you call the big “box” stores? Do you call a giant nationally known supplier with locations in every zip code? Or do you call the locally known and respected company down the street?

Of course, there are many variables when making purchasing decisions – how much is needed, time frame, manufacturer specs, and cost. These and other variables can certainly steer a “PM” one way or another in a hurry. Perhaps one of your suppliers doesn’t have that many widgets on the shelf. Maybe the earliest another supplier can get your widgets is two weeks from now. And still another is not an authorized distributor for the widget you require. “Oh, and what’s my cost on that?”
